Description

This is a painting I did for Acme Archives. It had a pre realease at Disney Star Wars Weekends this past May where I also did a painting demo and print signing. The print was just released on the Acme site last week. It's also currently on the front page of www.starwars.com

The idea behind this piece is that I imagined that Palpatine would have brought Darth Maul to Mustafar to train him and put him through his paces and see what he's made of in the harshest environment around. The title Proving Ground is a reference to a term used by the military for an area used for experimenting and testing new weapons and technology.

The painting is in acrylics on canvas and took me around a month to complete.
