Description

Sun Quan was a warlord and the founder of the Eastern Wu state during the late Eastern Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period in China. He was the second son of Sun Jian, a prominent general, and the younger brother of Sun Ce, who initially established the Sun family's influence in the Jiangdong region.
After his brother's death, Sun Quan inherited control over the territories held by the Sun family. He continued to expand his power and influence, eventually establishing the Eastern Wu state and becoming its first emperor.
Sun Quan played a significant role in the Three Kingdoms period, particularly in the conflicts between the states of Wei, Shu Han, and Wu. He formed alliances and engaged in military campaigns to expand his territory and strengthen his position in the south.
Sun Quan's reign saw periods of both prosperity and conflict, but he managed to maintain stability in his kingdom and consolidate his power. He died in 252 AD, leaving the throne to his son Sun Liang. Sun Quan's legacy as a capable ruler and strategist continues to be remembered in Chinese history and culture.
