This is a comic I've made related to Legend of Everfree, the fourth Equestria Girls film. To draw Sunset and Rainbow Dash I had to change how I draw the body and head structure. I'm glad that I only had to draw their heads and their shoulders, because the rest of the body is hard to draw. I've made their haircuts a bit simplier, mostly because I like a nice appealing based on the low use of colors and because it was weird to see Rainbow Dash with a seventh color on her hair after all these years. At first I wanted to make a Flutterdash joke, but it would be very repetitive at this point coming from me, so I thought that Appledash would be something interesting. Other jokes I wanted to make but I couldn't because they wouldn't be as good as I wanted were:
-Twilight's friends asking her why she only has a photo of Rainbow Dash, making some implications
-Fluttershy talks to animals so everyone takes her in a mental institution
-The villain having some PTSD once she hears the word "spa"
A couple of days ago I've watched Legend of Everfree for the first time. I haven't watched it by the time it came out because the trailer wasn't good and at the time I've felt oversaturation with My Little Pony after watching so many episodes during season 6 that were overall average. But one day I was curious and I watched it. Surprisingly, I kinda like it. It's not great, but it has some nice details. I’m glad that the songs are much better than the songs from the other films, which sounded like generic pop songs from the radio, specially Rainbow Rocks. With the exception of the Sunset song and that one from the ending credits, every song sounds creative and entertaining, even the opening one. My favourite might be the one with Twilight.
Sunset Shimmer and Geek Twilight are actually more interesting in this film. Twilight has Midnight Twilight within and she is constantly struggling. And Sunset is here to help here because she knows what she's dealing with. The rest of the characters have some funny moments, like Rarity with that climbing wall. I love it because when I was a kid I realized by doing the same thing that I had acrophobia, so it was a funny and relatable moment. It also was funny the moment where Snips and Snails said "she looks diferent, she seems to be... taller". You just don't see this coming. The jokes I like the most are the ones that are unpredictable.
It’s also nice that the characters have supernatural powers that makes the scenes more creative and funny. It has some problems, like that stiff animation that EG films always have, which is a pity. When you compare this animation to Friendship is Magic’s one, you think it could have been better. And the story was kinda predictable. I think I knew that red girl was the final villain because the other films had a mutant girl as a final boss. Two times, it’s a coincidence. Three times equals a pattern. After that you kinda see some predictable moments.I think Twilight and that guy would work as a couple if their dialogue wasn’t that awkward. Even for a kids film I have the feeling that they deserve a more believable dialogue. They talk like a couple from a generic romantic film would talk. Besides, he’s kinda cocky with his lamp design. Man, if only that couple was interesting. Another problem from the previous sequels is that some of the dialogue are just "remember that moment?" quotes, which makes the narrative a little tedious, just a bit.
Besides, is it me or does the villains look like DeviantArt OC’s made by Sonic fans with these black eyes and magical stuff?Despite its problems, I kinda like Legend of Everfree. I think this one and the first one are the EG movies I like the most, although for different reasons. Legend of Everfree has better songs and two interesting main characters, but Equestria Girls has a funnier script thanks to Spike as a dog and the Trixie cameo. Friendship Games was a nice idea but poorly executed to the point where the movie was boring. And Rainbow Rocks was just awful. If I had to rewatch Legend of Everfree I would watch the best scenes instead of the entire movie. I can't say no to a movie that has these nice songs.
I'm not sure if I would watch the specials. The only reason why I watched this movie is because I was curious, so I wouldn't watch them.
Welp, I hope you like it and have a nice day everyone!
