For this concept I used the quote "I'd give up anything the world can ever offer
I give my heart to you", from the song Sweet lies by Itou Kanako, as an inspiration.

For this painting I wanted to explore drama and action. The idea was to portray how one individual would go for the one you love. Go against anything in the world, even the whole world. Initially I wanted get the feeling of a prince in a shining armor rescuing his princess. But as the painting developed, I started to change that concept. Instead, I thought it would be more interesting if the prince was not really a prince, and not necessarily the main protaganist. But just a side character who fell in love with the princess based on a "sweet lie" just like the title of the song. This character would fight for what he would hold dear, and who knows he might be the bad guy in this story. In that way I wanted the viewers interpretate the scene and drama in the painting.
