Yup, I'm jumping on the Sonic Mania bandwagon as well. xD I haven't played the game, but I checked out the trailers and have been watching the episodes of the Sonic Mania Adventures miniseries as they get released. It looks really cute. I LOVE the animation! It's so fun and fluid -- very creative and lively. ;u; It's amazing! I wish I had the ability to do amazing animation like that, haha. I could go for seeing an entire animated series in that style; it would be awesome. But I guess we have to be happy with the Mania Adventures miniseries. xD Still, a long, ongoing series or a new OVA movie would be fun.

Also, MIGHTY AND RAY ARE BACK!!! I never would have expected them to actually make a return after being scrapped from the games all of these years. That was a cool surprise. We even got to see Ray in Mania Adventures...showing Knuckles a "MISSING" poster for Mighty. xD I hope that means Mighty will show up in one of the episodes himself. That'll be fun. TvT

I've come to like Mighty a lot in the last few years, so I've wanted to draw him more. Seeing that he's now in Sonic Mania gave me an excuse to do that. >:'D Drawing Ray just kind of goes along with him since he's basically like Tails is to Sonic -- they often show up together it most things you see them in. I originally just drew Mighty on his own as a doodle and was going to leave it as a sketch, but then I decided to add in Ray and Sonic and turn it into a finished full-color piece. c:

Wasn't really sure how to go about doing the background (as usual xD), but I wanted to go with the Mania-styled splash look for it, so I built upon that. Had a little trouble with how to make it look, but I had fun experimenting with all of the shapes, for the most part. I didn't think it would look very good, but I like how it turned out in the end. ;u; I think I managed to pull it off, so I'm happy with how it all looks.

(Somewhat unrelated side note, but I recently heard Mighty and Ray were supposed to be in a team in the initial concept of Sonic Heroes with Metal Sonicin it's very, veeeeery early stages of ideas. Mighty, Ray, and Metal Sonic.... That would have been...interesting. xD I guess maybe they weren't initially supposed to be scrapped as long as we first thought. Considering "MISSING" posters of them also showed up in Generations, maybe they weren't really scrapped at all.)

Thanks to everyone who came to watch the stream and keep me company while I worked on this! I know I had some internet connection issues, but it was nice having you come. ;u; I appreciate it!
