"Hey guys! My name's Ellie Watson, and I've been here at the Athena Athletic Academy for almost five years now. It might seem scary to new girls but trust me, if you're stubborn and dedicated enough, you'll do just fine!

This Academy houses the best athletes in the world and only takes on the best of the best, so I know you all have some real talent, but this is where it gets serious. If you stick with it, you'll be pushed past your limits and become something you could have never imagined. I started as a Black Collar, just like all of you, and I didn't work my way up to Gold Collar overnight!"

Public speaking isn't Ellie's strong suit - in fact for the most part, she'd be more comfortable under a few hundred pounds of metal with a trainer screaming in her face. Even so, after some practice in front of the mirror, her voice is firm, clear and confident with its Scottish twang. The room is deathly quiet as she speaks as the dozen or so new recruits stare in awe at their first glimpse of a Gold Collar. It's something Ellie is used to... most people's first encounters with her involve a few moments of silence as they process the fact that the flawlessly shaped abs are not, in fact, a trick of the light.

There are two main reasons that she takes on this duty. Firstly, it's interesting to see the new students. They are always truly exceptional by any standard other than that of the Academy. The big fish in small ponds of their local areas, usually oblivious to the fact that they've just been dropped into an ocean. From their first day it's often easy to see who has potential and who is out of their depth. The quiet ones, the overconfident ones, those who are privileged and those who ground their way here from nothing... it was always very interesting.

The second, and most important reason to Ellie is that she knows they aren't ready. That nobody could truly be ready for the Athena Athletic Academy. The new girls here needed something to show them just what they were in for and the girls of the Academy truly were at another level.

The best way to do that? A display, of course...
