Itachi Uchiha (団扇鼬, Uchiha Itachi) was a prodigy of the Uchiha clan from Konohagakure. He became an international criminal after killing his entire clan, and only saved his younger brother, Sasuke. He later joined the international criminal organization known as Akatsuki, whose activities also brought him into conflict with Konoha ninja — including Sasuke — who sought to avenge their clan. After his death, Itachi's motives, which turned out to be more complicated than they seemed, were finally revealed and that his actions were only for the benefit of his brother and village, and to be a shinobi loyal to Konohagakure until the end.
