Harley had been enjoying the donkey far more than she should have. Not only that, but she was enjoying trying her hand at stock work again after so long without needed to really focus on that. KhanCohban was lucky in having a farm manager in Mark. The man was an absolute professional and very skilled at his job, and managed it all with only a little help from his sister and a few workers during the busy season. All that despite also taking the time to show some of his horses and condition the farms endurance mounts during his rounds.

Although Asthor was widely trained and experienced in jumping and other disciplines, Harley had been feeling the need for something different. The camp-drafting and western class had provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy the Donkeys intelligent and curious nature. They had a few bad moments where that stubborn ass nature shone through on both sides, but Georgie had been wonderfully helpful and shown the trick of bringing Asthor around. The fudge did wonders for improving Harley's moods too so it seemed the young woman was the ideal help for both of them.

Along with Georgie, Harley had been getting non stop text advice from Mark. What had started off as serious questions on camp-drafting had devolved into endless teasing and silly videos of their attempts. Harley had a hard time hiding her smile anytime her phone buzzed. She had always enjoyed spending time with him, and the cheeky flirting had been fun. However she had always felt that he was holding back from getting to know each other more. Hopefully this exchange would help bridge that a little and help him really relax around her. It would be fun to have him fully integrate into their small close knit friendship group.

Tucking her phone into her pocket again she held her breath as she was called up for her show day performance. Asthor was in good spirits today and she hoped that they would put on a decent show with the small heifer they had drawn for the beginners camp drafting. Asthor wasn't the fastest or bred for this, but he was smart and very good at keeping the cattle moving without bolting, so she hoped that control would help them hold their own. She threw a grin and a wave to Georgie who was watching them and asked her long eared mount for a canter as the gate was pulled open and the Angus cow made a break for freedom.
