And here we are at Mount Rushmore!

Smaller than I expected, but moving none the less. What they were able to do to get the four carved into the mountain is still amazing.
What they had built up around it as well was also impressive, good parking, plenty of things to learn, both about Rushmore, the designer, and about the nation too. A good size cafeteria and gift shop and a nice meandering trail that goes right to the end of the fallen rocks below the sculptures.

I was lucky, it started to rain, but only as I was starting to leave.
