Description

Created with UF 5.04; full view please. Another mandala, but not part of my countdown series.

According to this site [link] the blue lotus - 'utpala' in sanskrit - is "a symbol of the victory of the spirit over the senses, and signifies the wisdom of knowledge". The word 'utpala' literally translates to 'upward rising'. There are also other meanings; see, for example the wikipedia site [link] and references therein.
