I wanted to try making a Maneki Neko for a few months, and around the same time I had the idea in my head to try making a small coin pouch in the shape of a character. So I combined the two to make this 
So together it's a kitty-shaped pouch with all the features to make it a Maneki Neko, including a big coin to hold, calico spots, a cute collar with a ringing bell, and of course a little upturned paw.
I made this from minky that was interfaced to give it some more stability. And the lining is some cute printed cotton. All the little details and the curved zipper make this project a little tricky, so I gave it 4/10 stars in difficulty. Though I imagine you could switch up the kitty details to make it into other breeds as well ♥
This is a .pdf pattern where the first half is written instructions, and the second half is a printable pattern.
