Appearance

Short and chunky. Ares is all round, soft surfaces and thick muscle. But this is not his most striking quality, as Ares is a blaring chimera of dusty grey and golden fur. And, while Dawnspire leans towards tolerance, his patchwork of color did get him teased by a few bullies when he was a younger fawn.

When he turned three he begged his parents for a golden charm to match theirs, and decided on a silver septum ring with a gold nugget at its center. Another fawn of his age may have balked with fear at a piercing, but Ares was excited to show off his new jewelry to his fawnmates.

Bold, brave, and curious, Ares is afraid of very little. Though this trait takes after his mother and makes him not afraid of the unknown, it unfortunately also makes him stupid. Ares would just as quickly jump up to try a strange new food as he would jump up to fight a phae stronger than him to protect someone weaker. While the quality is endearing, it has caused his parents to have to get him out of tough situations a few times.

When he was about a year old Ares was targeted by mean spirited children who teased him for "being split in two" and "being made of torn paper." Though he was great at rolling with the punches he still cried to his mother, until he was old enough to be witty back towards his bullies. After that, he was left alone, and learned a lesson about how to defend himself without using his greater girth or strength.

Ares is still young, and aspects of his personality are bound to grow as he does.

Beliefs

✣ If you're going to be mean, you should at least be funny. Bad jokes and jokes in poor taste will get made fun of by Ares. "Get some new material" is a common gripe he's said to rude fawns and teenagers.

History

Ares was the first born to the young soldier Roman and successful dancer Athena. Though coddled quite a bit by his mother, his father Roman was somewhat aloof, pushing him to take things more seriously than a little fawn could. Being goofy by nature, Ares tended to pay him little mind. At the age of three he is still a child, growing and learning. Though he hasn't done much with his life yet, he hopes he can put smiles on phae faces just like his mother.
