Quick list of tips on how to improve your art
Small note: This is directed mostly towards (semi)realistic art and traditional art, but most of the tips can be applied to all mediums and all styles. Also note: People are different, and styles are different. Not all tips will work for everyone. 1) Take your time / don't rush pieces Yup, it sounds easy, but this is still something a lot of people can use. It takes time to make high quality art, simple as that. Looking at realism: a drawing finished in one hour simply won't be as detailed as a drawing finished in 10 hours, and there's also a difference between a 10-hour piece and a 30-hour piece. And no, this doesn't mean you need to spend a hundred hours on every single piece you make. Just take the time you need. 2) The importance of contrast and color Getting more contrast in a piece will make it more striking, and the piece will get more attention. Therefore, get the dark areas dark enough, and the light areas light enough. A lot of people are afraid of going too dark - but
