Some time ago I was requested to audition for a Star Wars project that needed character and background artists. I had never ever done a background before so I gave background scenery a go. Needless to say I did not do a good job. I tried lots of new things like clouds and sky, far away and close buildings, as well as building lighting and appropriate texture overlay that the Tartakovsky style is known to have.
