"Because that's how I see the universe. Every waking second, I can see what is, what was, what could be, what must not. That's the burden of the Time Lord, Donna. And I'm the only one left."

:la: :la: :la: :la: :la: IIIII FINALLY GOT THIS AS A COMPUTER FILE :la: :la: :la: :la: :la: OH MY GOSH I FINISHED THIS OVER A WEEK AGO AND NOW IT'S A COLLECTION OF PIXELS AT LAST THREE CHEERS FOR PLACES WITH BIG SCANNERS.

So in real life, this is 18 by 24 inches, and took about two and a half days to finish. I think I was slowly inspired throughout vacation by watching random Doctor Who clips on YouTube, and I pretty much started this the minute I got home. Initially, I just wanted to do a portrait of the Doctor that showed space and time in his eyes. This eventually spilled over into space and time EVERYWHERE, which in my opinion is much cooler.

I found the quote above in one of the videos (as of right now I have not yet seen Season 4), and that provided a lot of the inspiration for the background. I imagine that, to a Time Lord, time looks like another whole layer to the universe, permeating everything. I've tried to represent that here somewhat, but two-dimensional representations of the fourth dimension are not always easy to execute.

Doctor Who belongs to the BBC and other various people who are not me (oh rub it in, why don't you)
