Little Bird (Supernatural x Reader) Part 8 by SnowyNyx on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
“I’ll kill you before I let you near my son!” For once looking at this man you weren’t scared of him, you wanted to end him once and for all.
“You know you can’t kill me. Just give me what I want and I promise no one will ever bully him again.” He smirked. You hated when he smirked, it made you sick.
“Mom?” You turned instantly to find Cas right behind you. The two dogs were by his side whimpering. They tugged at his clothing to get him out of there. Even they knew that evil was here.
“Ah there he is, the man of the hour!” Cas began walking towards him.
“Cas, stay away from him!” You tried to run to him but Lucifer flicked you against the wall. You whipped the blood off your face that had spilled from your mouth.
“You promised you wouldn’t hurt her.” Your eyes grew wide as Cas spoke. He had already known who this man was which meant this wasn’t the first time they had spoken.
“By that dumb look on your face I will assume that you know that Cas already knows who I am. We’ve become really close; I’ve been teaching him how to harness those abilities that you never mastered.” Lucifer put his hand on top of Cas’s head and something inside you snapped.
It was the sound of a rifle being fired that you finally noticed Dean’s presence in the barn. Right behind him was John.
“Dean, get John out of here now!” Why the hell had he brought John with him.
“Dean Winchester, I will enjoy killing you this time around.” Lucifer walked closer but Dean took another shot. Dean didn’t say a word. With Lucifer distracted you ran for Cas and when you reached him you pulled him towards the back entrance to the barn but you were pulled backwards.
You floated closer to Lucifer as he ignored the bullets entering him. When you finally reached him he locked his fingers around your neck and began to squeeze.
“Don’t make me break my promise to the kid. The three of you go back to bed and we’ll be on our way.” Lucifer’s smile faded as his grip got tighter.
“Mom, it’s okay. Please just stop.” Cas moved closer to you but something quickly rushed past you picking Cas up. It was John. He ran towards the back entrance and even managed to get out. Lucifer’s grip got tighter now that he was furious.
Dean took another shot and it landed right in the center of his forehead but you knew that wouldn’t kill him but he dropped you to the ground as he lunged for Dean. You quickly ran behind him and wrapped your arms around him.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing!?” Lucifer squirmed in your grip. You looked to the rings you had left on the ground right behind you and began the chant.
“Are those the four horsemen rings?! You little bitch; I’ll just get out again!” He struggled in your arms but you refused to let go.
“ROSE!” Dean watched from afar. He knew what had to be done but he never imagined it would end like this.
“I love you Dean, promise to take care of the boys.” As the portal to hell opened you fell backwards and you pulled Lucifer in with you. Dean ran towards you but it was too late. The portal closed and you fell towards the cage. You’d miss your boys and you’d have your regrets but at least they were safe now.
-Dean’s P.O.V-
When Dean had woken up that night and found that you weren’t there and his pistol missing from the safe, he never thought to make sure the 4 rings were still there. He had never imagined that Lucifer would return.
How did you even know the rings were in there? Why would you even take them? You must have already known that he was coming. It explained why you were acting so off that night. He thought about how you were feeling so cold and he grew furious that he had never seen the signs.
Why he thought. Dean was furious with you for leaving him like that. You hadn’t even given him a choice. He would have found another way. He ran his fingers through his hair and began pacing. There must have been some way to get you back. Sam had gotten out, so he’d get you out too.
He moved closer to the wooden beam and gave it a stern punch which caused the wood to creak. When he pulled his hand back it was bleeding and it would hurt for days but he didn’t care at that point. You were supposed to be a team, you had even said so yourself but you had never considered how he’d feel after all this.
“Dad…” John and Cas moved closer and as Dean’s eyes landed on Cas he ran to him and grabbed him by the neck of his shirt and started shaking him.
“Why?! Why did you do it?!” Dean fell to his knees releasing his son’s shirt. He dug his fingers into the dirt as the tears fell, “I’m sorry, I couldn’t save her.”
The two boys lifted their father up and dragged him back inside. They had never seen him like this. He was always so happy and even when he was angry it wasn’t long till he was smiling again. When they finally got him inside he finally started to walk by himself.
He grabbed the case of beer out of the fridge and went to his room. He never said a word. He didn’t even bother to sit in the bed or the arm chair in the room. He sat on the floor leaning on the bed and started to drink.
John was the first to leave the room; he couldn’t watch his father like that. That wasn’t the man he idolized in there. That was the man who had just lost his everything. Cas stood there quietly unsure of what to do.
He began to cry himself. Why wouldn’t he? He was the one that had caused all this. He remembered the first time he met Lucifer.
A few of the boys in his class had chased him down after school when John had detention. They beat the living hell out of him and the moment he started bleeding they panicked and ran off. Cas couldn’t even stand afterwards. He just laid there.
This was when Lucifer approached him and healed all his cuts and bruises. Cas remembered wishing he could have power like that and that was when he found out who his family really was. He thought back to how he wasn’t even afraid of the man just how much he wanted to be like him.
Dean turned to the nightstand beside him and opened up the drawer. Inside it was where you had kept the family album. Dean remembered teaching you how to use a camera and how awful your first few photos were but he had put them in the album because they made him laugh.
As he turned the pages he saw pictures of you sleeping in the Impala and, when he took you to the beach for the first time. His favorite one was the one of you washing the impala in your tank top and shorts. There were pictures of when she was pregnant with John and Dean holding him for the first time.
He got to the wedding photos; John was only a year old at the time. It was a small event held in the backyard and even Castiel had shown up. There was a picture of Dean and Sam standing together. It must have been before you gave him a black eye for kissing his fiancé.
Dean finally stopped at a baby picture of Cas sleeping on Dean’s chest. Dean remembered arguing with you over who the father was. Dean regretted the whole fight to begin with that pushed you to go to Sam.
Dean finally closed the album; he didn’t know why he even looked at the old photos. It was just a reminder that you were gone. His case was almost empty now and the floor was littered with beer bottles. He pictured you making a fuss over the mess and he laughed a little before crying again.
“Dean…” Dean never imagined him returning and he wasn’t sure if he was relieved or pissed off to see his face.
“Sam, what are you doing here?” Dean stood up but he began to wobble and fell back onto the bed. He put his face into his hands and let out a huff.
“I called him.” John appeared behind Sam.
“What for?” Dean finally managed to stand up and walked closer to Sam. But as he got closer Sam punched him in the face and he fell back onto the bed. But Sam was there constantly swinging punches at him. Dean was so drunk he could barely defend himself.
“You were supposed to protect her! I trusted you to protect her and now she is gone! So now what?! Get yourself drunk so you don’t have to deal with the pain? That’s pathetic even for you! You didn’t deserve her you bastard!” Sam was furious and he would make sure Dean paid for it.
“I know! I failed her and the boys! But I don’t know what to do now…” Dean was crying, Sam thought how pathetic he looked but finally stopped hitting him and stood up.
“We get her out.” Sam seemed so sure of himself but even he knew it would be impossible,
“We need to find a certain crossroads demon first.” Sam left the room and Dean immediately sat up.
“Crowley?!”
