I'll tell you a tale of the Bear King's daughter. Noble maiden fair, fiercest warrior of his court. And the man who dared to love her.

I've been playing with the idea of Merida as a feral warrior, in a less civilized version of the Highlands, for a while now. Then, last week (long story short) I was struck with inspiration for hour outfit in such an AU. I made some changes from that first pass at the design, such as removing the DunBroch tartan, and desaturating the color of her dress. But the cloak of black bear fur is still there.

Not that you can tell with all that fog...
