Thomas the Tank Engine 30th by SonicClone on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

I want congratulate a happy thirty years to a great show. A program, in which a multitude of children everywhere and anytime have enjoyed. A television (and I guess home video, at least for me and others) series that has placed a smile on uncountable little faces. In fact, I am sure many would consider it one of if not the greatest children’s and childhood shows ever created. And unfortunately, like many great shows, they either run to long or get remade… HORRIBLY, RUINED, AND MESSED THE SCRAPYARD UP! You know a good kids’ show is destroyed when it starts talking down to children.

Anyway, Thomas & Friends is something that has touched the hearts of almost, almost everyone. And I do not understand why some shows at times tend to be more popular or more renowned than Thomas (even if Thomas is an icon) or even how someone could treat the show like it’s a harmful infestation. Thomas was a unique series, having live-action models instead of any real people or animation done, and its voice acting only consisted of one narrator. And all the characters are likable, even with their flaws.

All in the end I can say is… Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along, whoo-whoo cho-cho, all of his friends will be calling along… “Thomas we love you’’.
