Chapter Six: Aunt and Uncle

“Anyone up for seconds?” The question hung in the air, none of the ducklings willing to speak. Mickey watched as his wife’s eyes dimmed. He felt his own hope drop. They had been trying to get the kids to open up more, but it seemed it was still too soon. Two weeks had passed since the funeral, since the kids officially moved into the Mouse residence.
