Edit: I'm TRYING to put a solid background on it since dA keeps dicking around with my transparency, but noooo. >:T
Edit again: Success! Although it doesn't look nearly as good as a transparent background. Better than blocky black pixels, though...

Yesssss I like this version sooo much more. It was totally worth redoing the background from scratch. A bit frustrating, maybe, but worth it nonetheless.

Anyway, yeah, I scrapped the other version sooo... Same character as before, same commissioner, and I still can't quite grasp the meaning of the phrase "simple background". But whatever man, if I like it then I'mma roooollll with it.

Textures are from `Princess-of-Shadows.

And while looking up references to color the butterfly (again) I learned that it's actually a spicebush swallowtail, not a pipevine swallowtail. The more you know~~
