Nigthfire has all of her mother’s heightened abilities just to a somewhat lesser extent. She can absorb ultraviolet radiation then channel and project it as "starbolts.” She is highly resistant to injury, has near superhuman strength, near invulnerability, and immunity to many forms of damage. When she flies she leaves a distinctive energy contrail and like her mother it seems to be coming from her hair. Like her father she is an advanced hand-to-hand combatant and has Her early training was conducted by her mother and to a lesser extent her father.

She was a member of the Neo Titians as a teenager and spent a short time as a member of the Justice League. After she was severely physically and mentally injured in the 2nd Earth-Tamaran conflict her mother took her to Odym where she became a member of the Blue Lantern Corps. When Maxwell Todd is infected by the rage and hatred of the Red Lantern and uses a Red Lantern ring to attack Santa Prisca she is crucial in saving him but her blue ring is destroyed in the process. She joins Maxwell’s team at her father request to both help Maxwell recover and keep an eye on him.
