Synopsis

Ruby Gloom is planning a surprise party for her friends. But when they hear about it, they get the wrong message and think that Ruby is moving. Now they try their best to convince her to stay. Meanwhile, Frank and Len get the wrong message too, except they think Ruby is dying.Comments
This episode serves as a fantastic simile for the show in its entirety, Not the best out there but endlessly memorable. On repeated viewings I could quote this entire episode effortlessly.
As a first episode this episode succeeds in getting someone into the series however there is much room for improvement. I find the best way I show can start is to have the characters meet in the first episode. That way viewers feel like the're along for the ride as the characters get to know each other, Something not done here. Despite this Gloomer Rumor's saving grace truly is its characters which have very likable and distinct personalities. Even if the're acting off inthis episode. A theory of mine is that Gloomer Rumor was the pilot not just the first episode, as it has elements that differ from the rest of the show, The CGI pipe and Frank and Lens somber subplot come to mind.

Overall this is an enjoyable episode not the best, not even in the top ten, But enjoyable none the less 6/10
