Thinking about it, it's about 10 years or so since I first started getting into Kagepro. Even though it's been such a long time, and the series isn't active anymore, it still holds a place in my heart that's very dear to me. Especially Ayano, who gave me the courage to reach out to others when I was scared or anxious. The songs and the stories of these characters resonated with me, and were a beacon of light when I was in a really bad place. Even now, the series still resonates with me, whether it's by reminding me of the friends I've made through my life, or with songs like Remind Blue making me realise me that I'm not alone in the feeling that, well, despite growing up, I feel quite the same - just doing my best to act the part while floundering in my mind!
I think that's one of the great things about KagePro. It's a fantastic urban fantasy series, but it also hits the heart and grounds itself in experiences and feelings that are very, very real. It's something that I think I'll always look back on, with gratitude that I encountered this summer story all those years ago.
For now, let's return to that day, where the summer sky was crystal clear.
