Hellcat in the Tunnels [ARCSVERSE] by StolenMadWolf on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

The tunnel quaked, dust falling from the ceiling of the old tunnel. "Be careful down there." Spitfire growled with a hiss, the sound of a Plasma Cannon booming breaking through the radio. "They are throwing alot of fire at us, if it's a distraction-"

"I'll be wary." replied the light-class Arcbot. Hellcat moved quickly through the tunnels underneath the Industrial Arena, her yellow eyes scouring the tunnel ahead. If the intel was good, she would have her own problems.

Something stomped, out of sight around the corner of the tunnel. Hellcat slowed and peered around. Stomping towards a steel door at the end of a short tunnel was the unmistakable form of a Bel-Shan Heavy-Class ARCS, his green eyes flicking towards the tunnel. The light-class withdrew into the shadows, "Spitfire, I've come across a Bel Heavy, the intel was solid."

"Be careful Hellcat." Spitfire grunted, "That's alot of firepower to bring there."

With a brief flicker of yellow light, her human partner sent through the signal, a pair of heavy Gyro Pistols forming in Hellcat's hands. With a brief nod of approval, Hellcat readied the pistols, "He'll be dead before he hits the floor."

Phew! As promised, another Arcbot piece has arrived! And for the first time, it is NOT featuring Spitfire. Instead, it features a light-class Arcbot, specifically Hellcat, another member of the Shadow Knights, a team that includes Spitfire as before. Here, she is in the depths of an industrial tunnel system as a battle rages above... and finds that hostile forces, including a Heavy Class ARCS, are upto no good. It's sort of a companion piece to Spitfire in Battle - Standard Version [ARCSVERSE], as it takes place at the same time.

This was both easier than expected and alot more fun to draw as well! It was nice to be able to do a complete design for Hellcat, featuring her own Gyro Pistols. The Gyro Pistols are basicaly like Bolt Pistols and real-life Gyrojet guns, whilst also being modelled after the likes of Guncons and USP SOCOMs. It was also a good chance to draw something akin to a Heavy Class ARCS for the first time, albeit one that might be on the smaller side outside of perspective. Funny enough, that particular ARCS was originally just sketched on paper, before I transplanted it into digital format, which, well, for someone used to digital drawing is pretty damn cool!

Overall, I'm really happy with this piece, and you may have noticed as well that I've done a new logo in the corner for Arcbots. Because I've decided I'm going to explore doing more Arcbots related stuff beyond art, which may well include some writing of a story... but I'm now also seriously exploring the possibility of turning Arcbots into a online/tabletop RPG. It's still early days, and I'm not sure how it will take shape, but it is something I hope to share more about in time.

Also, as a side note, I usually upload drawings at 1280 pixels max, but due to effects, the above details and as a thanks for the support here, I'm uploading this image at 2480 pixels, and may be following up with a uprated version of the Spitfire in Battle piece. Hope you like this!
