In 1450 (when King Munjong ascended the throne), three years before the Gyeyujeongnan, she married Dowongun (Deokjong), the eldest son of Prince Suyang (Sejo), and became a military wife. When her father-in-law, Grand Prince Suyang, forcibly abdicated from her nephew Danjong and ascended to the throne , her husband was crowned crown prince and she was also promoted to crown prince .

It is said that she had a good relationship with her husband , Crown Prince Uigyeong , and during their five years of marriage, she had two sons and one daughter: Prince Wolsan , Prince Taean ( Princess Myeongsuk ), and Prince Jaeulsan, who later became the 9th King Seongjong .

However, Crown Prince Uigyeong died just a month after the birth of his youngest son . At the time, Crown Prince Uigyeong was 20 years old and Lady Han was 21 years old.

Lady Han left the palace with his second son, Jaeulsangun, who was a 5-month-old baby. She later changed her name to 'Subin' as Jeongbin was the same as the title of Bin when Queen Wongyeong was her Crown Princess . She was so strict about her children's education that her parents-in-law, King Sejo and Queen Jeonghui, jokingly called her her poor wife.

Subin married her second son, Prince Jalsan , to Han Myeong-hoe's daughter , and maintained a close relationship with her mother-in-law, Queen Dowager Jaseong (Queen Jeonghui), and thus still had close ties to those in power. When King Yejong died, leaving behind only the four-year-old Prince Jean, Prince Jaulsan, who had the support of the powerful Han Myeong-hoe and the most senior royal official, Queen Dowager Jaseong , ascended to the throne .

Queen Insu was very knowledgeable for a woman at the time and was well versed in Chinese characters , so Queen Ja-seong declined the position, saying, “My daughter-in-law Subin, who knows letters better than me, would be more suitable for the role of Sooryeomcheongjeong .” She also helped her mother-in-law, who knew her Korean but not her Chinese characters, during her convergence of self- contradiction . Not only was she well versed in Confucian scriptures, but she was also well versed in Sanskrit. When her mother-in-law, Queen Mother Jaseong, died, she became the highest-ranking adult in the Joseon royal family.
