Description

I did this a few months ago, when "Becoming Jane" hit the movie theaters, and I had all things Austentastic on my mind. I drew this young lady while listening to Laurie Viera Rigler read from her excellent and amusing novel, "Confessions of Jane Austen Addict." After I finished it, this beefy idiot turned to me and said, "Hey, you should draw a tattoo on her!! Like thorns or razors or something... Hur hur!" I looked him in the eye and said disdainfully as I could manage: "Tattoos are so 1990s." Chastised, this gentleman only mumbled: "I was joking."

I wonder what Jane Austen would make of that...
