Atonement and Fruit Hatred lashing His back For the rebellion I made. Iron piercing His limbs, Binding the evils I did. Pain crowning His head Shames the lordship I denied. Wood hanging His body, Cursing the sin that I was. The Lamb has borne death, The Son struck by the Father, The King forsaken by all, The Lord shamed among men. His people now can live And be called children of God, Enter His Kingdom in joy And see an honor debt paid. Sin, powerless illusion, Be gone, soon and for ever Removed, in communion restored; Let love now dwell these houses.
