Thumbelina and the Field mouse

When Thumbelina woke up, the first thing she noticed how warm she now was. This was odd as she was certain that a bed made out if dead grass in a tree stump shouldn’t feel that way and the dead leaf she was using as blanket wasn’t this soft before. The next thing she noticed was the distant crackling of a fireplace and the smell of something cooking. This made the tiny human even more confused. She sat up, pushing the blanket off her and she found herself not in a freezing tree stump but rather in a dark, cosy bedroom. The bed she was laying on was carved out of wood while the mattress was filled cotton while the blanket was a scrap of thick cloth. Looking around, Thumbelina could see that almost all the furniture was carved out of wood; the dresser, the bookshelf, the desk and chair.
