That Scene from Through the Looking Glass Ruins

I just love every aspect: Luz and Amity watch the footage of the other human who inadvertently wounded up in the demon realm, and Luz, ever the dork, goofily tells the mouse they could be friends. Then Amity actually makes the first move after expressing confusion about her feelings for Luz. Luz's pupils shrink and then she looks at Amity with a sparkle in her eyes. She went past the point of merely crushing hard on Amity and has now fallen hard for the girl. And then Amity adorably mutters to herself questioning why she kissed Luz...followed by Luz collapsing on the ground as if asking herself "did that just happen? Simply perfection.

Best Moments of Owl House Season 2 A

Really, I like the character development and how it handles topics like how "Keeping Up A-Fear-rences" discusses the mentality of people who desire to "help" their loved ones with a disability that was already being managed and not accepting that as being apart of them. Of course, Lumity being canon was sweet. I just love how the show seamlessly normalizes these sort of relationships and Luz asking Amity out is depicted as being imperfect and awkward, but that is also very realistic. Having Luz call Amity her "cotton candy-haired goddess" and an "awesome girlfriend" is just sweet. I was surprised by the friendship between Lilith and Hooty as it didn't seem like something that would happen in a million years especially when you recall he delivered a beat down to her and the goons. But it does make sense: both of them in some ways were overlooked or underappreciated. As such, they both give each other sincere validation continuing even when Lilith returned to her home to catch up on lost

Most Hated Characters from The Owl House

  1. Boscha; she is Amity if you stripped her of her redeeming qualities and have her just be obsessed with her social life and goes out of her way to bully students she viewed as "weaker" than her. And then came where she harasses Willow for no good reason beyond "oh, the nerd is stealing my glamor? Well, I can't have that." But I do kind of think that she does have some potential to become slightly better...not to the point where she is a tag-along accomplice to the Hex Gang, but maybe have her haughtiness be broken a smidge? Plus her reaction to acquiring her crab palismen was cute. 3) The Blights. As it was kind of obvious, I love Odalia's design. But aside from that, not a really pleasant person. She could be on the running for worst mother in western animation among the likes of Lois Griffin, Peggy Hill, and Sheila from South Park. She is the very definition of a Karen who throws fits when things don't go her way such as when she was considering calling up everyone she knew to

Loud House: King in Yellow (Part VIII)

"What are you doing, Dr. Moist?" The doctor rolled his eyes in irritation. He always received that question whenever he was doing one of his procedures. Strapped to a surgical bed was his most recent test subject, an elderly man who was blind for a large duration of his life. His limbs were elongated and bent in inhuman direction. Five tubes protruded through different orifices of his body. The man cried out in pulsating pain, but his screams did not deter the doctor. "Another failure. Gentlemen, you know what to do." Three burly men walked in grabbing hold of the surgical bed. Each having scowls on their faces, they ignore the man's prote

The Surprise Villain Trend

So in light of Coco, we have another surprise villain in the form of Ernesto de la Cruz. Honestly, I saw it coming just by looking at the trailers for the movie, but this presents one of the main problems I have for Disney and Pixar movies. It is the over reliance on "surprise villains." While it's debatable about when this trend started, I personally believe that it began with Wreck-It Ralph. In that film, as we all know, King Candy is revealed to be the nefarious Turbo. So, it wasn't too problematic as the trend wasn't be overly used, and the film did have some foreshadowing for the twist, but it also didn't give much of an indication that

In Defense of Camila Noceda

Who can really blame Camila for the way that she acted tbh? I mean...yeah, Luz should've probably mentally rehearsed what she said about her staying in the demon realm was the best decision she ever made...because that kind of would feel like a sucker punch to the gut. Imagine being a single mother trying your best to raise your daughter, and while you don't completely hate her creativity, you want her to have a more firm grip on reality. And then you think after the summer camp was over, you find out your daughter was an imposter and that you get the impression that after all those years, your child secretly resented living with you. Of course, that is not what Luz meant nor was trying to suggest. But that would honestly be understandable from Camila's POV. I would likely be just as hurt as she would feel. But of course, she doesn't realize that Luz did mature and has a place where she feels wanted and validated. I won't defend her trying to force Luz to make that promise with her
