Alternate Thomas universe

I know I already have my own headcanon for the Thomas universe, but I'm also really interested in completely alternate takes, like different locomotives the engines are based on and a different version of Sodor. I know I haven't finished showing all my characters for my headcanon, but is a more realistic take on Thomas with different basises and histories something I should do? I really want to but let me know what you think.
