I kinda expect, out of all of these so far, that this will be a more controversial one😅 *Updated with the united forms, Noel, and the proposed below OG Patren #1, now taking the mantle of Patren Fire. I told myself "one small change" but then I got carried away so here we are with the update. Oops*

Continuing the "One Small Change" project here, where I've had some nitpick about a Sentai series and I change it. Kinda/sorta in the "redesign" or "what if" realm, but really just a few recolors or gender-swaps. Some are things I've done before, like recoloring Ryusoul Green into the brighter, yellower green tone and swapping that suit to female, and making Kiramai Silver's orange accents to gold. The idea isn't to introduce new characters or design new ranger suits, it's simply to fix a nitpick or two I have with existing suits.

Do I like the idea of competing Sentai teams in the same series/season? Why, yes, yes I do. I've played with that many-a-time in OC teams. Lupinranger VS Patranger was great for that and it was (largely) fun. However, I do think a simple change would be to recolor the suits a bit. Make Patren #1 navy instead of red. That way the series still has a singular "main red" that it can focus on, give power-ups to, etc etc...basically all the shit the series did anyway re: the Lupinrangers, but just make it obvious from the get-go. I also think that navy could work because that's just a more normal color for police uniforms, not red. Stupid I know, but I'm justifying my own decision here. It also gives some color/reasoning through-line to Siren Striker being navy and red when it appears in the show. Because of this change, I think it'd then make sense to swap Lupin Blue and Yellow's male/female so the series doesn't have two males running around in shades of blue.

Headcannon-wise, I think this could lead to a more solid rivalry between Lupin Red and Patren #1, where there was a red Patranger that #1/Keiichiro (and the others) looked up to, but he disappeared/the Ganglars (Zamigo) killed him, etc etc. The Patrangers as-is get promoted, with Keiichiro becoming the new #1 in navy, unable to take the red mantle until he solves the mystery (yadayada some BS). And for extra twisty-ness, that previous red Patranger would be Lupin Red/Kairi's brother. The Lupinrangers know what happened to their loved ones with Zamigo freezing them, they're solving the exact same mystery as the Patrangers, just using flashy thieving means. Keiichiro would be angry that some thief stole his mentor's color/disrespecting the color, not knowing it's actually his mentor's little brother. I think something like this, to give the Patrangers more actual emotional investment in this season-long mystery would give them some actual development. And then when it's all revealed, we could re-work Lupin Magnum to be the brother/mentor red Patranger's weapon and mech.

That character can even re-join the fight in his suit, a kinda/sorta combination of in-canon Lupin Red's color scheme and Patren #1's design; this would be a the reworked red Patranger, here below in the middle titled "Patren Fire". Yes, I know there's the firetruck mech, w/e, his mech and weapon would still be the Lupin Magnum, re-title it to LupatMagnum or somesuch. "Fire" would also be a fun nod to him being frozen by Zamigo, now freed by flames of justice (w/e); would be a fun nod to both Timeranger having Time Fire and Dekaranger having Fire Squad; and hey the Lupinrangers work in a restaurant with fire (...k, that one's a stretch). Patren Fire also gets the a recolored Patren Ugou armor, to signal on a design level that he's stronger than the main team, his color scheme borrows from Lupin Red, complete with Patren Fire's recolored helmet/visor being similarly angled like Lupin Red's. And his tie, or I guess kinda cravat (?) gets to be a combination of Lupinranger bow ties and Patranger's neck ties. I imagine it'd be fully on fire in the transformation sequence, flowing around like a scarf for a bit, til it comes down to form the shape.

Patren Ugou is the same, just with navy in the center now. Lupin Tricolor is almost the same, keeping the respective genders in place from canon vs colors (i.e., the yellow and blue swap sides). Noel as both Lupin/Patren X stays the exact same.
