I think why anime is over-used is because 1) once you learn how to draw it, everyone compliments your art ('tis true) & 2) this is the web where anime fans ( like myself ) taken it over, like if you went to an art gallery, you wouldn't find anime drawn ( maybe you would, idk )

( also your Saly looks kawaii, but I'd add some white to her eyes, though, but otherwise, it looks good )
