I have been haunting this particular forest for days now. My husband took the dog here, no phone, but with his camera, which he forgot the memory cards for. And the dog made a new friend. A little fawn. They were licking each other, and frolicking about. How adorable does that sound?!
I know the chances of this happening again are extremely remote, but, at least if I'm there, with my camera, it's a little more likely. Although I know what will happen, I won't take my camera and she'll find her friend.

(Rogue also likes to lick cows, and horses, when I let her near them, which is only ever when they're on the other side of a fence and choose to come and say hello. I don't want her spooking them and any animal getting hurt, but she's a very playful dog, and will play with anything. Although she doesn't like the neighbour's cat, but to be fair, the cat started that one.)

So far we have spotted deer down in the valley yesterday, and found a large bull mastiff who was taking himself for a walk.

These images are taken at different times, some very early in the morning, some a little later, some right before it started chucking it down.
