Rhythm of the Ocean by TeaPhotography on DeviantArt (original) (raw)
Dedicated to my good friend Melinda
I've known Melinda for a long time on dA, but really only in the last few months, have I had more of a chance to really "GET" to know her...
... and let me tell you, it's been a joy, and she's just truly fabulous!!
Melinda and I were talking about a drum circle, that I had attended both as a participant, and as a photographer.
And she said she hoped to see photos of it, sometime,
so I decided to dedicate my favourite one to her.
Actually, when I first began to photograph the event,
the first of what is supposed to be an ongoing community activity,
I realized my camera was broken, and in such a way, that I could not fix it quickly on my own in that moment!
I called "tech support" and was guided through my owners manual, [which is always also with me] and fixed the problem!
This was my first test shot!
And yes, it was a COLD, foggy, and cloudy day, in August!
The others have people in it, and I was not sure if I could upload those as a result, but honestly this is my favourite because of the view of the ocean right behind it, and these particular drums.
My own drums are not in the photo, however, but I love the ones that are!
It was such a fun and amazing event,
and I truly hope there will be more!
Photographed at Sportshaven Beach, Brookings, Oregon, USA.

Some crazy sounds and rhythms, from a band I've liked for a long time... [yes, my music tastes are very eclectic,

[ NOTE: Thank you, in advance, for any 's I may receive for this image. I am honoured and grateful that anyone would think well enough to it. So thank you from the bottom of my heart . I understand if you don't have time to comment, but thank you for any kind comments, too. It's important to know this NOW, as I may NOT be able to do individual thank-you's for 's, or in case I cannot respond to each comment, either. Thanks for understanding. And, if you just came to view, I appreciate that, too. ]
