Something Blue

She was mine. Or she was supposed to be, anyway. She's there, right in front of me, a vision of loveliness in that white dress. She was absolutely stunning. Her light brown hair fell around her bare shoulders as I sat in the chair across the room, a mutual friend lacing up the back of her dress. Her cheeks were red and flushed, that beautiful laugh sounding as she talked excitedly about the day ahead. She looked so unbelievably happy. It wasn't because of me. She left her spot in front of the mirror, coming over to twirl in front of me. She was radiant, glowing. Her dress wasn't huge; she'd never been the type to get all flowered up anyway.
