Ils Nineta, is a Kyuubi no Kitsune (Nine tailed fox) who works at a Shinto Shrine as a miko (a shrine maiden, to make it simple). In her her true form, Ils looks like a young, almost childlike girl with blonde hair. As a Kitsune, Ils is not dissimilar to a female Kobold, with two large pointed fox ears on the top of her head, fur on her shoulders, and 9 thick fox tails. Her nose is also more like a fox nose and she wears a traditional Miko outfit.

In her "adult form" Ils' features remain mostly the same, but she now has the appearance of an older teenager woman with much more mature features and larger breasts. Also, in this form, she has a collar of fur that covers her entire neck, as opposed to her true childlike form, in which her neck is completely devoid of fur.

Despite Ils young looks she speaks in a manner which is closer to that of an elderly person as opposed to a child. However, she is still rather childish and enjoys playing pranks on others when she is not working. When she transforms into an older version of herself she drops this childlike behavior in favor of a more mature sexualized flirtatious persona. Also when she is in her older persona she has no shame in appearing scantily clad or naked as she feels what people are seeing is not really her body when she transforms. She also seems to have become more daring because, when she transforms, she began to expose herself more to her chest.

Ils has an intense interest in Japanese culture, which stems from her watching a lot of anime. It is this interest that drove her to join the exchange program and become a shrine maiden. Ils enjoys her job as a shrine maiden and works hard to draw visitors to the shrine in hopes of being rewarded by the shrine's master with inari sushi.

She works at the Garden Shrine in the Sanctuary. She is an helper of Yae Miko and Tamamo-no-Mae, playing the role of their adopted daughter, just because she found it fun and because she receives lots of pampering from the two sexy fox ladies.

Ils is also the unofficial mascot of the Shrine, as her shape-shifting abilities made for a good spectacle for the visitor and make it earn lots of offerings and money.
