".. I couldn't see. It was pitch black. But I felt a presence there. An aura of malevolence that wafted through the musty air of this old house. Looking up toward the attic room I sensed I was being watched. I squinted to see if it was just my imagination. The longer i stared the more my eyes adjusted to see the figure standing before me in the very near distance in the attic room. I wanted to run. I wanted to leave. But curiosity got the better of me.."
