meet Noise.
the protagonist of God's Reject, my work-in-progress body horror biopunk RPG.
took a while to solidify who i wanted as MC. his WiP names were "The Wretch" and Drej (shortened from GoD's REJect). the white hair was set in stone from the start, plus the fact that he's a silent protagonist. in Noise's case quite justified, his speech apparatus was crippled from birth.
"Noise" is what little his mouth manages to make, a breathy whisp. just enough for a hit sound effect, lol. it's also a mild reference to the manga Noise, by Tsutomu Nihei. which is a prequel to Blame!, my favorite piece of sequential art ever.
the world Noise will be sent to explore is strongly influenced by Blame's endlessly winding Megastructure amd beautifully oppressive atmosphere.
