Description

As I mentioned on my previous post, I was able to see a Galloping Goose in operation while I was visiting the Durango and Silverton, specifically No. 5, owned by the Galloping Goose Historical Society in Dolores, Colorado. No. 5 makes frequent visits to the Durango and Silverton and Cumbres and Toltec throughout the season, and it just so happened that I was visiting the former at the same time it was. Interestingly, this is not the first Goose I've seen in operation either. Over a decade and a half ago I visited the Knott's Berry Farm and Goose No. 3 was running. Considering that's the only other place I've visited in person so far that has Rio Grande Narrow Gauge equipment, you could say that the Geese like flocking to me specifically.
