"Uh... Are you sure about this Maria?"
Whilst she plays second-fiddle to Maria, Louise is more then happy to hang back from adventuring. Pipe Plaza won't run itself after all, so Louise stays home to take care of their small kingdom.
Louise isn't quite as athletic as Maria and is said to have a lot of hidden potential. Despite this, she does have a few abilities even Maria can't quite reach, including a naturally higher jump and is light enough to run on the surface of water briefly!
Whilst Maria considers the fearsome Queen Bowsette to be her arch-rival, Louise finds the mush more haunting Queen Boosette to be terrifying. Though both sisters will take on both Queens, said Queens have vendettas against them for different reasons.

But yeah, Louise is a much more traditional Princess, preferring quiet days of cleaning and book-keeping to the adventures that Maria goes on.
That said, she does have a spirited side and wouldn't hesitate to leap into danger if Maria or their friends needed help. They've even taken on a few adventures together.
Louise's design was, as you can imagine, more straight-forward. She's meant to be sweet and reserved. I mentioned above she's got a few tricks that Maria herself can't quite pull-off, such as running on water. She can also use her dress to float in mid-air briefly, though it's nowhere near as good as
.
And yeah, I intend to use her in comics and tfs where it makes sense, such as ones based on Luigi- I mean,
Mansion.
