Description

This started out as a practice sketch, based on the design of my last picture but from different angles. I felt so confident with the last piece I was wondering if I could recreate it in different angles. This picture was designed with an upward angle in mind. Later on after the sketch I felt more was needed.
That's where the background came in. I felt something was needed to help bring the character to life, rather then appearing in some kind random colored limbo. So I included her classic SF2 stage. Like Chun-li I had to make it in an angle. And I wanted to make sure I crammed as much detail from the stage as I could. From the pole, to the cage, even to the tiny rock on the floor.

I also wanted to improve a bit on my coloring. Not only using the ink pen for shadows but also including the different shades of the colors on the picture. This idea actually came up from Dragonball Z Xenoverse, of which the cover art had Goku colored in a similar fashion. I used this method on both the character and the background.
