Fae finally gets a big ref update!!! Officially decided on a new main outfit for him <3 He’s also gotten maybe 5% more Cryptid because he’s now 7 feet tall and uncomfortably LONG good for him tho
Fae is the extremely mysterious and unexplainable king of the fey, a somewhat undead race of “not quite humans” and “not quite animals”
Fae himself is not quite human and not quite alive. Despite being the embodiment of untamable feral life itself he’s just not quite… natural Feeling. He moves erratically and never looks comfortable, he looks pale and emaciated… he’s just not… quite right…
Known to mankind as a very threatening destructive force, Fae creates his fey by touching the bodies of dying/nearly dead animals and people and refilling them with life: his own ever growing spirit. They morph and change into fey, becoming apart of his “hivemind” (While his fey retain their own personalities and quirks, they all feel and experience the emotions and thoughts their king does, causing them To essentially be extensions of him). Unbeknownst to humanity Fae is actually the current god of life. While not the original, he was blessed with new life by the previous, dying goddess and has since taken her place. Unfortunately the other gods don’t all accept his presence and treat him more like a mortal playing god.
fae has a complex relationship to humanity. He loves them. He idolizes them. He wants to BE them. He feels a kinship with humanity but doesn’t feel quite human himself- like he’s missing something that he’s trying to find. Unfortunately humanity doesn’t like him very much…
when they retaliate against him he becomes upset and sometimes aggressive in response. He’s volatile and unpredictable, but all he wants is to love and he loved…
why does everyone hate him?
