Yet again, I went camping at Catawba Falls. This time was with two of my friends from UNCG (Tom and Josh). We had a great time hiking and I got some really cool angles on the falls that I had never thought of before. The only downside of the trip was the eight hour onslaught of rain that proceeded to flood our tent with two and a half gallons of water. The good thing about that is the rain stopped at sunup. All the mosses got a chance to really green up and the waters were running strong! There was roughly twice the volume of water running through the falls as usual. It was very exciting.

This is the dam at Catawba Falls. I have been trying to correctly capture the iron oxide stains on these rocks ever since I was shown them by Spot (shown in front of the rocks that have the iron oxide stain). This is the first time I feel happy with the way I have captured the stain on these rocks. I will get a better photo eventually.
