Description

Phew! Busy-busy-busy. Anyway, here's a work featuring (for my first time EVER) charcaol. Got the set for Christmas and finally found time to put them to use. Enjoy!

By the way, the featured aliens are yet another selection from iUniverse including a zndizndizndizndikaq (top center) from a sulfer world with an atmosphere 100 times thicker than earth's. Their world is also highly seasonal as it orbits a complex, moderatly-separated binary system. The hot and cold seasons each last 65 local years (72 earth years) and the zndizndizndizndikaq evolved to live in the hot season.
The being on the right is an uti from a chorine world. Still a few questions as to whether they are natural sophonts or transapients of some other chorine species. And yes, their inspiration were lungfish!
The last entity at the left is an omicronian. Yes I know what your're thinking, so let me explain. It started out as a project of mine to modify the many aliens of Futurama into plausible beings and incoorporate them of course. The pictured omicronian has the same basic anatomy as the cartoon ones (pargons, cranial testes, armored plates). But I just had to make them a little more alien for iUniverse as you can see. The omicronians of iUniverse are a vacuum-adapted race which migrate to their planet's inhabitable moon to reproduce as their are no large predators there. On their moon, life got started much latter, and is now at a stage analogous to the devonian period of earth. There they can deposit their young (popplers!) in safty. They are able to survive in both atmospheres with symbiotic polyp-like organisms embedded in the hollows of their basket-like skeletons. They are, of course, an aggressive and conqouring race who can't tell one human from another.
