When the 'Buran' was on its way to the Speyer Technik Museum I saw it from the Rhine-Bridge on its last meters... :) (Smile)
By accident I had the best view to the event, when I was in a traffic-jam, caused by the huge crowd of spectators... :D (Big Grin)
It made me sad, that the Buran was in space only once... and unmanned... Waaaah!

I know, it wasn't the 'Buran', it's only the 'Crew-Training-Ship' - like the 'Enterprise', which wasn't in space too... :( (Sad)
...but the russian system had 4 jet-engines and was able to start by its own, when the 'Enterprise' needed a 747 to get airborne...

The Speyer Technik Museum also asked for a US-Shuttle, but they knew their chances were very dim, o.t.o.h. the nearby Sinsheim Technik Museum is the only place you can see 2 SST, the Concorrde and the Tu-144...
