ToaG: Pronunciation by TriaElf9 on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

This is one of those words that can lead to a bit of confusion normally, like "I love taking basu!" and "I was in the basu today, and met some really nice people!" especially when prepositions are hard for non-native speakers. It's a little harder to explain this kind of situation to kids, so I chose a different way.

This class is one of my favorites. It consists of 3 fifth graders who are all totally hilarious and awesome and love to joke around, so I tend to be very silly with them. The pictures I drew on the board were, in reality, much more stick-figure-y, but they still remember, to this day, that "basu" is a word to be careful about, and they even try to say them differently now. But occasionally they'll yell out "NEKOBATH!" and then laugh wildly. Which is also fun.

I kind of assume that most people know that "neko" means "cat", but here it is again in case people haven't really been subject to it on the internets.

Also, note that the extra creepy thing about the Nekobath is that it WATCHES YOU AS YOU BATHE. Oh, and also the cats that you use to clean yourself. heheh ^_^

Enjoy!
