Theseus was a selfish prick. It's bad enough that he abandoned Ariadne, who has HELPED HIM out of the labyrinth, but he years later decided to kidnap Helen of Sparta (before she became Helen of Troy) and make her his bride; Helen was a girl of about 12 years, he was a widower of 50 years.

He was prowling through the reeds by the Eurotas river on the night that Helen was with a group of other Spartan girls as they celebrated their coming of age. He reasoned that, despite all the blessings of his life, he felt that "life was not worth living unless he could enjoy her." He didn't care about the other girls, only about kidnapping the Spartan princess.

And HELEN is the one who gets blamed?!?!?

I'm so glad that Dionysus came for Ariadne! She deserved and got much better than Theseus!
