You may recall my posting Sniper's standalone Skeletal & Musculature Ref Sheets a little while ago, but here they are in one spot, complete with Epidermal & Furred/Feathered layers. Also included are short snippets of information regarding each individual layer.

Ah, I just love stripping down characters to the bare bone! (No pun intended, sheesh! Haha.) Even as a Dutch Angel Dragon who sports an ethereal, Aehterian composition, I love thinking about how my dragons' forms would translate into Terra and Terran physiology.

To run it down, Sniper is most is equine in his teeth, shoulders, hips, and the basic shape of all his bones. He is draconic in the face, lower limbs, torso, and tail. He is avian in the wings, chest, and collar, (and a little in the hips as well.) It also really emphasizes his lithe, Avian anatomy overall, which sets him apart as unique even among Dutchies! From the longer torso to his s-shaped neck, physically longer than other Dutch ADs, but normally covered up with copious amounts of floof making the bird-like posture slightly less noticeable!

A huge aspect of his anatomy are his extra large pectorali and (not visible in this Reference) supracoracoideus muscles that permit flight! I like comparing how huge this muscle group in particular is in comparison to the actual 'wing arm' muscles, emphasizing that his power comes straight from the chest, with ample space placed aft of the forelimbs! These big muscles give him the strength to soar for days on end, and also the endurance to hover nearly solitary in place before diving on an unsuspecting foe - in true Kestrel fashion, of course!Like horses and most mammals, his skin layer depicts his visible markings in the amount of melanin produced in the skin below from which the follicles sprout. Sniper's skin is actually fairly thin, and he relies almost completely on his fur and down layers to keep him warm at altitude while setting up for a dive or performing long-range surveillance on a mission.

I like to think of this as a 'Companion' to Sniper's main Ultimate Reference Sheet. <3 I really, REALLY go into detail there about his abilities and physical functions, and this can serve as a sort of appendix to those details.

I'd definitely like to get around to doing these for more of my characters, especially my more unique guys! :>

I will be opening for Commissions of these when I return to CONUS as well. ;D
