Description

"I love Frank Miller's 'Dark Knight Returns'. It was one of the biggest influences on my artistic growth, along with a LOT of Bill Sienkiewicz and Mike Mignola. This piece is a pin-up I did for the Lille Convention I'm attending this fall. They requested a Batman illustration to use as an exclusive print for the show.
I wanted to evoke Lynn Varley's washed-out palette so I cranked down the saturation wherever possible - an exception being Robin's costume. I think brighter colours illustrate her enthusiasm against Batman's gray grumpiness.

Also, Carrie Kelley is the coolest Robin ever."
