Freeze as he appears in my Batman universe.

Dr. Victor Fries was a respected scientist in his fields of cryogenics, engineering, and biology. A quiet, solitary man, he kept to himself, believing he'd spend his life alone, engrossed in his work, and that was fine by him. On a chance meeting, he met a woman named Nora who took a liking to the shy genius, and the two would fall madly in love. Science was no longer Victor's only love. The two were wed and lived a happy, cozy life for years.

Sadly, Nora fell ill, succumbing to an incredibly rare disease with no cure. With the mounting costs for her treatments, Victor's desperation led him to creating a cryogenic tube to save his wife's life while a cure could be developed. He entered a deep depression as he tried to develop a cure to no avail. Upon discovering what he'd been doing, Fries' employer, Ferris Boyle, threatened Fries and his wife. In the ensuing argument, Boyle had Fries' laboratory sabotaged. Fries rushed to save his wife, but he and his wife were seemingly killed when the lab exploded.

Over a year later, Boyle and the rest of GothCorp's Board were being hunted by a mysterious armored man. This same man was the prime suspect in a series of heists targeting tech companies, primarily GothCorp's. Fries had survived the sabotage, but the resulting damage had left him unable to survive outside of subzero temperatures. He'd created a suit of armor to extract his revenge and continue his mission to save his wife. The suit allows him to survive outside of his normal environment, filters poison and allows him to breathe underwater, is bullet resistant, gives him enhanced strength, and allows him to freeze anyone or anything, even entire rooms.

Batman initially saw Freeze as nothing but another villain to take down. After uncovering the truth, Batman helped bring Boyle to justice, and Bruce Wayne offered his support for Nora Fries. Despite being captured by Batman, Freeze developed a begrudging respect for the caped crusader.
